Description
Packing supports perform the following functions:
- Physically support the layer of packing material
- Has a sufficient passage area to ensure unimpeded passage of liquid and steam
- Prevents downward migration of random packing parts
The plates of the packing support have a design with a large transmission area. Such packing supports provide the area of passage up to value, which equal to the total cross section of the column (100%).
In case of overflow, hydraulic impact at high gas velocity and etc., the packing support is fixed to the support ring by special clamps.
Plates of random packing support can be made of different materials in accordance to the customers requests. Multi-sectional designs are available.
